Leadership

George D. Kembo (Dr.) - Chairman

George Kembo is an experienced business practitioner, par-excellence, and is the Founder & Chairman of DK Construction. He has a wealth of experience in the construction industry and beyond. He is involved in a number of successful ventures and sits in fiduciary positions on various advisory boards. He was an Executive at the District Development Fund handling the roads portfolio in Mutasa District.

George’s inspiration to stay committed to the mission and vision of DK Construction has remained unmoved since its formation in 2004. He has provided the strategic leadership and direction of the business, and continues to do so today. His trusted thinking and leadership have seen the company grow organically. George attributes the company’s success to the fantastic team that he has on the ground running the day to day.

Solomon Masaraure

Solomon Masaraure - Projects Engineer

Solomon has acquired profilic experience in Engineering and Project Management. He worked with Zimbabwe National Water Authority* water regulating authority as a Project engineer for a major dam Construction, he was involved in the monitoring and evaluation, documentation and design of the project. He worked as a Design Engineer on several construction projects with Etenidade Consulting Engineers (Pvt) Ltd and Dohne Construction Company. He was also part of the Harare Road Condition Survey team working with ZINARA & ZILGA. He is a member of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers and a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe. As Project Engineer to the company, Solomon heads his project assignments undertaken by the company

Barbra Tazvivinga - Finance & Admin Manager

Barbra is a dynamic, committed, versatile and result-orientated person. She has Finance and Business Administration experience. She worked in Ministry of Local Government and Public Works as an Assistant Accountant. Barbra worked as a secretary and administrator in D Chigumbu Land Surveyors. As a Finance and Admin Manager, Barbra manage DK Construction’s accounts as well as Payroll and HR issues.

Tafadzwa Chimsimbe

Tafadzwa Chimsimbe - Site Foreman

Tafadzwa is a dedicated Civil Engineer Technician with strong practical and technical skills and a range of experience within construction engineering and project management. Having a sound knowledge of designing, testing, and evaluating a designs overall effectiveness. Tafadzwa worked with Clime Construction Zimbabwe where he was involved in projects to renovate and improve existing sewerage and portable water infrastructure at Mashava Great Zimbabwe University . Worked as Civil Engineer in determining the manhole locations, designing of surface water systems. He was also involved in the project of the construction, maintenance and repair work on the road construction and stabilization at Grange in Masvingo as Site Engineer. He was also responsible for the design and developments of culverts for waterways at OK Mart in Masvingo, and the resurfacing of the road at the OK Mart where he worked as site Engineer. He worked as Engineer at the design of irrigation systems of a 6ha land at Gutu (Ruti Dam) working with Clime Construction, Oxfam and Gutu Council that resulted in the effectiveness setup of the system in accordance with the frictional flow and head level which was to be achieved. He also worked as the Structural Engineer where he performed structural stability calculations and sketched support drawings prior to construction.

Education: Certificate in Civil Engineering, National Diploma in Civil Engineering and Higher National Diploma in Civil Engineering (Pending)

Taipanei Mahachi is a skilled mentor in Workshop management and is an illustrious figure in plant and machinery maintenance. He provides overall oversight of the workshop and ensures all machines are in good condition.
